Terminology

Banner : Large ad that crosses a page, 728 pixels wide by 90 pixels high. This ad is either a jpg or gif image, and can be animated. All graphic ads should be 96 or 72 dpi in resolution. If you have interest in using flash or other dynamic content, please contact us so that we can arrange that for you.
Content : The part of a page that is the primary value for a visitor, such as articles, club listings, show lists, etc.
Rectangle : Smaller ad that displays to the right or left of the content. They are 180 pixels wide and 150 pixels high. This ad is either a jpg or gif image, and can be animated. All graphic ads should be 96 or 72 dpi in resolution.
Premium : An ad space that is occupied by only one add at a time, usually runs for one month at a time. These ads are billed by time, like monthly.
Rotating : An ad space that is shared among two or more ads. Each time a page with this type of ad is displayed, one of the ads is randomly chosen to occupy that space. These ads are billed by the number of times they are displayed (impressions), e.g. CPM.
CPM : 1000 views (or impressions) of an ad. So if you purchased 1 CPM, your ad would show 1000 times before you had to purchase more ad space.
Text Ads : Currently the only text ads we offer are in the classifieds section.

Banner at Top of Page (Top Premium Banner)

This is a premium ad space. There is a different one for each topic (as in articles) or area of the site (as in clubs or shows). This allows you to better target your advertising. For instance, Joe's Tractor Store might be better served buying a premium ad on the Equipment Articles page than having their ad show up randomly on any article page, or all over the site.

Top Ad on Left Side of Page (Top Premium Rectangle)

This is a premium rectangular ad space. There is a different one for each topic (as in articles) or area of the site (as in clubs or shows). This allows you to better target your advertising. Side Ad Space shared by one or more Ads (Rotating Rectangle)

This rectangular ad space holds rotating ads. There is a different one for each topic (as in articles) or area of the site (as in clubs or shows). There are some rotating ad spaces that show up site wide.

Rotating Banner at Bottom of Pages

This ad space is site wide. It contains rotating ads. Ads here are discounted because of their position low on the pages.

Classified Ads

These are our only text ads. We offer three levels with one of them being free. You can learn more about classified ads on the classified ad page.

Horse for Sale Ads
